Journée des Bornes Frontières de 1780
La Flamengrie, Bettrechies and Honnelles,
France and Belgium"The 1780 Boundary Markers Day" will take place on Saturday 19 September 2026.
To mark the European Heritage Days and Interreg Cooperation Day, the municipalities of La Flamengrie and Bettrechies (France) and Honnelles (Belgium) are organising this cross-border event to present the results of the Interreg micro-project ‘Border Markers 1780’. The aim of this project is to preserve and showcase the magnificent border markers that were erected around La Flamengrie in the 18th century.
The day’s programme includes: a walk, a talk, a museum visit, the repositioning of a border marker and a closing reception. For further information, please contact Jean-Louis Renteux.
