Online lecture: Maciej Górny Drawing fatherlands: the geographers' moment of glory

OnlineThe book Kreślarze ojczyzn: Geografowie i granice międzywojennej Europy (Warszawa: IH PAN, 2017; Osnabrück: fibre, 2019; Leiden: Brill, 2022) combines methods of collective biography, history of science, and spatial history. The presentation of the book’s main theses will also be an opportunity to reflect on how a historian of ideas (rather than a geographer) analyses cartographic sources, and on the usefulness of the category of biopolitics in the history of science.
